https://K2International.as.me/
Delivered only by Paramedics, Specialist Paramedics and/or Doctors over 48 days Monday to Friday followed by 750 hours paid placement with APG Alliance Pioneer Group (APG) pending satisfactory background and governance checks. K2 International has teamed up with APG to provide paid placement (£16 to £19 per hour depending on the shift) on frontline emergency ambulances with a paramedic or EMT mentor. APG have also generously offered to cover the accomodation costs and provide blue light training to K2I students (NB: Accommodation is not covered whilst on blue light course) - an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to become an EMT and wants an NHS recognised qualification. With this partnership our students will more than double their investment on the training course before they even qualify (assuming base rate of £16ph for 750 hours this will earn the candidate £12,000). Alternatively, candidates could choose to do their placement hours with our other partner agency - Global Medical Projects (GMP). GMP can offer frontline ambulance and emergency department placements in several countries around the world. Two of our instructors have availed of their Guadalajara, Mexico placement and can highly recommend it (NB this is at the candidates own expense and costs approximately £1, 500 not including flights and spending money - accommodation is provided).
Intended Audience
This course gives candidates the practical and theoretical knowledge required for those who work in, or hope to work in an ambulance environment, supporting registered and non-registered healthcare professionals. Ideal for those with a responsibility at work, or in a voluntary capacity to provide emergency and urgent care.
Overview
The Qualsafe Level 4 Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners (RQF) enables learners to gain the skills, understanding, and practical competencies related to emergency and urgent care to carry out the role of the Associate Ambulance Practitioner (AAP). Day to day duties and tasks for an AAP would involve working as part of an ambulance crew responding to emergency (999) and urgent calls, providing emergency and urgent assistance, and driving safely.
Assessment Methods
11 x Practical Assessments
1 x Theory Assessment
1 x Invigilated Exam.
