Intended Audience
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for people acting in unsupported outdoor roles such as Outdoor Activity Leaders, Bushcraft Instructors, Canoe Instructors or Duke of Edinburgh assessors who run activities where medical help could be up to a few hours away.
Overview
During this extended 2-day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of outdoor first aid situations, including: how to manage multiple casualties, insulating and providing shelter to casualties, cardiac arrest, blood loss, choking, extremes of temperature, unconsciousness, fractures, head and spinal injuries, drowning, burns, head-to-toe survey, medical conditions and more.
Assessment Methods
9 x Practical assessments
2 x Theory assessments (Multiple Choice Question Paper).
